Wassail

Wassail is a hot mulled cider commonly consumed during wassailing, a medieval tradition where people would visit from house to house or orchard to orchard singing and drinking from the wassail bowl. The word wassail even means “be in good health”, given as a greeting during this tradition. The response, “drink and be healthy”

Not only is this a warming, festive drink, but the medicinal herbs provide multiple health benefits. During the mulling process, the cinnamon, ginger, and clove impart a spicy aroma as well as anti-inflammatory, immune supporting properties to the wassail. So friends, be in good health!
