Chocolate Peppermint Smoothie

 

A decadent smoothie with the cool punch of peppermint makes a refreshing treat for chocolate lover's!  Perfect for a nourishing meal-replacement or split with a loved one for dessert.

 

INGREDIENTS

1 cup full fat coconut milk*

A handful of fresh peppermint leaves

1 tablespoon cacao

1/2 cup ice cubes

1 scoop chocolate Paleo Meal, Pure Paleo Protein, Organic Pea Protein, or Whey Cool**

Add all ingredients except for the protein powder into a high-speed blender.  Blend until smooth. Add the protein powder and blend on low until incorporated to ensure the delicate protein structure stays intact.  

*Avocado and filtered water make a nice substitution for milk.  Keep in mind that healthy fats are key for proper body function, blood sugar regulation, and satiety.
