Strawberry Basil Smoothie

 

It's no secret that strawberries and basil pair well together.  This smoothie is no exception.  We hope you love this dynamic duo as much as we do for a nourishing meal replacement. 

 

INGREDIENTS

1 cup full-fat coconut milk*

1 cup organic strawberries, fresh or frozen

1 scoop vanilla Paleo Meal, Pure Paleo Protein, Organic Pea Protein, or Whey Cool**

A handful of fresh basil

1/2 cup ice

 

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.  If using a high-speed blender, add the protein after the rest of the ingredients are pureed to ensure proteins are not damaged.  Pulse the smoothie to incorporate the delicate proteins.  

*Avocado and filtered water make a nice substitution for milk.  Keep in mind that healthy fats are key for proper body function, blood sugar regulation, and satiety.
